My wife was checking out the March of Dimes website and discovered that our local chapter was having a fundraising walk only 5 days before Porter’s first birthday (April 15). She thought that maybe it would be a fun way to celebrate Porter’s first year while enjoying the spring weather and raising money for a great cause.
We have decided to call our team The Trans-PORTERs (trust me, it is better than some of the other names we threw around) and we are looking for people to join us on the walk. We have already recruited a handful of folks to walk with us, and we have already raised $1110.00. Our goal was to raise $360–a dollar for each day Porter has been with us by the day of the walk! Now that we have surpassed that goal we want to get to $2000 by this Saturday.
