If you like pirates, backstabbing, team work, backstabbing, board games, and backstabbing then CutThroats is the game for you. Developed by Erik Moore and artwork by Kyle Rhône. In this game you can play any number of roles on a pirate ship from the Cook to the Captain. When the ship leaves port you can go on a number of different adventures that all have numerous outcomes. The hope for you and the rest of the crew is that you come back with plenty of gold. But once back at port, don’t turn your back because all bets are off and it is everyman for him/herself.
The game is published by Tinderbox Entertainment and has been through beta tests at many gaming conventions including PAX. The game takes some time to get started and plays up to 7 people. But once you play it…you won’t want to stop. You can purchase the game from the CutThroats website for $75.00. The craftsmanship put into the game board (printed on canvas) and pieces is well worth the cost. I can’t wait to see what this team comes up with next!
